About Carly Rose Jackson
I am a graduate student at Emerson College in Boston, majoring in Journalism. Two years ago I had an assignment to write nine blog posts. I decided to write about my sister, because she truly is doing something amazing with her life. When I get the chance to explain how cool she is, I usually get good responses. I decided the world needed to know about Lara, and about the world of swimming between Olympics.
When my dad first explained “professional swimming” I was baffled. Who can make money off of swimmers? I still don’t know the answer to that, but I do know that swimmers around the world regularly bust their butts, and no one seems to pay attention. Perhaps that’s a good thing. I wouldn’t want professional swimming to go the way of professional baseball (over-priced tickets, drugs, owners with more passion for money than for the game, etc).
I hope you enjoy reading my stories about what it’s like to be the sister of an amazing athlete. And if you have any questions about the world of swimming, leave a comment and I will look into it with my newly acquired journalist skills.

Carly,
I think of Keith when I listen to Grateful Dead “Skeleton’s from the Closet”; Sugar Magnolia & Truckin.
I enjoyed your blog. Keith would have enjoyed it also. I would like you to write something on the above mentioned songs.
Love Aunt Karen
